Artist: Paulina del Mar
Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, Paulina del Mar is a bright up and coming star in the art world. Paulina has shown an interest in the arts from a young age and has art in her genes – she has painted since the age of two, guided by her mother, renowned Mexican Artist, Socorro Martinez. Calling Florida home today, Paulina is an architect, art teacher and fine artist. Her architectural training and drafting experience has given her a keen understanding of line, form and depth, which is apparent in her fine art.
Inspired by Pop Art and bold color, Paulina counts Masters Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Indiana, Keith Haring and Jasper Johns among her many inspirations. Drawing inspiration from popular culture – landscapes, still life, figures and even Disney characters, Paulina’s work is instilled with a feeling of joy and vitality. Like Picasso before her, Paulina is incredibly talented and works in multiple mediums; water color, acrylics, oils and pencils. She is able to paint any subject with technical skill and injects her own special palette of color
At just 29 years old, her works are in collections around the world and she has enjoyed exhibitions in Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean and on board MSC Cruise Line.
